# of Doctor Stoppages By Year In The UFC (1994- Mar. 2021)

Doctor stoppages in the UFC have increased over time, especially when comparing pre-TUF (pre-2005) UFC to the past several years. With that said, stoppages by the corner in MMA fights remain rare and are more than likely less common than corner stoppages in boxing. It will be interesting to monitor these occurrences to see whether they increase as MMA matures and becomes more mainstream.
